Petsu poistui keskuudestamme keskiviikkona 26.10.2011. Vanha sydän antoi periksi eläinlääkärin pöydällä ja Petsu nukahti pois. Kaipaus on kova.

Petsu slept away on Wednesday October 26th, 2011 when his old heart gave up on the vet's table. Petsu is deeply missed.

Right... saldo from Monday and Tuesday this week:
We are on holidays and I feel like going to work - to rest ;-) We have been doing house repairs (building wall, painting it,...) and stuff related to sheep (preparing fencing for jumping ram, getting first batch of hay to carry indoors etc). Soon going back outside to build the outer wall of the house...

Puppies got today 18 weeks (last week 4 months) old. We have been weighing them using Wii Fit Board and today they measured Letti 13.9 kg and Viira 14.8 kg. During the latest week Letti has gained slightly less than Viira, before this they had gained equal pace.

Wii Fit Board was in good use today again. Puppies were weight using that and continuous and steady gain of weight goes on. Letti is 11.9 kg and Viira 12.3 kg and we can easily feel the ribs under the skin. They are growing all the time, currently they seem to have long legs... and still sharp little teeth ;-)

We had an eventful weekend at Kesanto and for the puppies. The summer has reached us!

We started already on Friday evening (or was it already on Thursday evening...) and had a walk around the open-air theatre area. Especially Viira was fascinated when we heard people's voices practicing the play and seemingly Viira wanted to join the group when they were singing.

Sain vihdoin päivitettyä kuvia pennuista ja muustakin Picasaan.

Lauantaina hyväksyttyjä tuli kolme ja siellä jäi jotkut testatuista koirista ihan vähästä kiinni.
Kaikki vaan reenaamaan, niin kyllä se siitä!

Taloutemme on tätä nykyä kahden pennun loukko, mutta taitavat nuo aikuiset koirat suorastaan arvostaa sitä. Pennut melskaavat keskenään ja häiritsevät niitä vain vaatimattoman minimaallisen vähän (mutta sekin on Petsun mielestä liikaa...). Aiemmin olen aina ajatellut, että kahta ei voi ottaa samaan aikaan, mutta näköjään siinä on hyvät puolensa. Huoli täytyy tietysti pitää, että molemmat saavat oman aikansa, mutta niinhän ne nuo aikuisemmatkin saavat.
